What are the white spots on my nails?

Written By Billie Adams

Have you ever noticed those white patches on your nails, you have probably heard that they are caused by not drinking enough milk? Well we are here to tell you this is all a myth!

The white spots on your nails are in fact most commonly caused by a simple knock you took to your finger 6 weeks ago, or from an excess pressure on the base of the nail which has led to the visible white spot.

Another reason these could become visible is your body is telling you that you are allergic to a nail polish or treatment. No matter what caused them, they will eventually grow out with your nails, which unfortunately for some of us can take up to eight months depending on how fast your nails grow!
